Visit and Do

As Bihar have very glorious history and rich in culture, you have lot more to see here. The capital state Patna itself is very having very important place in the history. As this place was the capital of Magadh Empire and maurya’s too, this is still a very important place as the political point of view right now. Lots of monuments are here which show the evidence of period of great kings like Ashoka, Chandragupta Maurya and Ajatshatru .Lots of gardens and Museums are here to go and see where you can see many interesting things which are related to the golden history of Patna city.Bodhgaya is another place to go. This is birth place of Gautama Buddha so this is very important religious place of all Buddhists. The place is crowded throughout the year. You can spend two of three days here and for sure you will get amazing experience.Nalanda University ruins are also equally popular and you must go to see the biggest education centre of India in old timings. Lots of museums and temples are also here which are worth to see.Gaya is the most popular Hindu pilgrimage. The place is full of devotees all the time. See the amazing seen of rituals and pilgrims. Visit Vishnupad temple if you are here. Sitamarhi is another place to see if you are here for religious trip or to know history and mythology of Indian culture. You can go to Golghar which is a dome situated in Gandhi Park in Patna to just chill out as this a happening place. Lots of malls and shopping complexes are also here to go.Visit Madhubani which is popular for its world famous fine Madhubani paintings. Pick some for you and your dear ones. Sanjay Gandhi Zoological Park is also worth to go. Other national wildlife parks are also here. Rajgir and Samastipur also the famous heritage place. Major towns like Patna have wide range of every kind of hotels. You can get from luxury multi star hotels to cheap hotels and tourist lodges. The five star hotels provide all kind of facilities with good services. Other mid-range hotels are also available for you on good prices.On religious places you can get many cheap hotels, Dharamshalas and small tourist lodges and surprisingly the price is pretty low on these places. Do not expect high profile luxury hotels when you are on such places but all basis needs with good services are available. Other small places like Bodhgaya and Sitamarhi have not much but sufficient places to stay. In Buddhist places like Bodhgaya, government guest house is available but you must book it in advance.

Food

In major towns like Patna you can many sit outs and restaurants of all kind. Lots of well decorated and clean dine outs are here for you where you can get all kind of food. Generally North India food is popular here in which you can get many varieties of vegetables, yellow lentils, chapatti and rice. Other Indian state foods are easily available. Do not miss Bati Chokha with Dal if you are in Bihar. Sea food including many varieties of fish is easily available near river side areas. Other non-veg food is also available.
