Pant Nagar airport have regular flights to Delhi which is nearest international airport. Kathgodam is the nearest railway head which is 90 km away from Almora. This railway station is a major junction and has lots of good rains to almost every main part of India. Lots of good trains are here for capital Delhi and other major cities of the country. You can hire cabs and taxis for Almora from this here. Many regular buses are also available for Almora as well. Other railway stations are Moradabad, Bareilly and Haridwar where you can get direct taxis fir Almora. Visit and Do

Almora offers plenty of things to see and do. As this is a hill station so you can get natural beauty is here all around. You can just take long walks to enjoy your trip. Almora is full of panoramic views, lush green forests, natural and calm water bodies etc. Enjoy sun rise and sun set on Bright End corner which are really worth to admire. The place offers excellent views of mountains. Chitai temple is the most popular which is situated near mall. Other is Kesar Devi temple and Katarmal sun temple.If you are interested in history and culture of the place then you must go to Gobind Vallabh Pant museum.This museum has lots of stuff which is witness of proud glory of Almora history. Deer park is another must go.If you want to shop then Lal bazar and Chowk bazar is good. Markets are full of woollen cloths and other local made stuff. Pick some brass ware and bronze ware. Other local made handicrafts and jewelleries are also available. Do not miss to pack some Bal Mithai which is popular sweet of Almora.Trekking, camping and mountainbiking are the activities which are popular among tourists.Things are endless and come here yourself to enjoy the trip of Almora.

Food

You can get all general food and snacks on restaurants of mall road. Generally North Indian food, South Indian food and Chinese are available here. All good hotels have their restaurants along so try those. Some restaurants are able to give some local dishes on request.Do not miss Bal mithai which is popular sweet of the place and taste like chocolate.
