Visit and Do

As this is a business hub, this place is not having very long list for to do lists but what it has is enough for beholders. First thing you can see is Surat castle or Old castle. This fort is located right in the city. Built in 16th century by Mughals this fort is having perfect architecture and still having same charm. Next can be river side castle which is located near Tapti River and popular among tourists. If you are ready to take some ride then there are more options to see like Bardoli and Dandi, ahistorical place which is 35 km away, Dumas and Hajira beaches which are 20 and 28 km away, Vansda national park 120 km away and Ukai, a picnic spot which is 90 km away from Surat.You can go to Rangupavan which is an amphitheatre and popular among locals as well. Lots of gardens and City museum (Sardar Patel museum) are also worth to see. Lots of religious places like swami Narayan temple, Chintamani Jain temple, Ambika Niketan Temple are beautiful and full of religious beliefs.
