Visit and Do

Shimla is a happening and one of the most visited places by tourists so there is lot more to see and do. First thing what tourists do is wandering on mall road and ridge road. This is the most popular activity and you will never get bore by this. This area is much crowded during peak season but very attractive at the same time. Everything is available here for entertainment from shops to eating joints and from seating areas to horse riding. Choose whatever you like. Scandal point, Tibetan market and Lakkar bazar (Wooden craft market) are other places to walk near mall road.Christ Church, Sankat Mochan temple, Comber Mare Bridge are other options which are equally beautiful. If you are history buff then go the Himachal Pradesh Museum to collect information about history and culture of Shimla. Reserve forest near ridge is also big attraction among tourists.Jakhu temple and Kufri are the must sightseeing and really worth to see. Jakhu temple is Hanuman temple and located on Jakhu Hill. Kufri is a mountain peak where you can go by horse riding. There is little temple too to see. Kufri is the best spot of trekking lovers and you also can go for skiing in winters here.For Shopping mall road and lakkar bazar are good option but things are little expensive on mall road. If you want to buy basic needs then go to the Lower bazar. This market is cheaper and less crowded than mall road.

This place is the capital of State and most popular tourist space so you can get every level of accommodation here. For high profile hotels you can go for Wildflower hall and tariff will be more than 10,000 INR. Other five star hotels near mall road are Radisson, Landmark, Clarks etc. and you have to pay 4000 to 5000 INR here for per night. For deluxe hotels you can opt for Woodrina, Holiday Home, Rock Sea, Quality Inn etc. Here tariff will be 2000 to 3000 INR. Budget hotels and less priced hotels are also available here like hotel Pine view, Prashant, Shabnam, Crystal palace which will cost less than 2000 INR. This category is most popular among tourist and much more hotels available in this level. For less than 1000 INR, go for Hotel Sansar, Hotel white, Hotel Classic or Hotel Sangeet. Maximum hotels are located near mall road and it’s easy to commute from this location.

Food is not the problem et al as this is prime hill station and equally popular in all over India even abroad so all arrangements are here to get a big treat to your cravings. All Indian food like Punjabi, Bengali, South Indian, Muglia are available here on reasonable rate.
